Who can register a .tl domain?
Anyone, in Timor-Leste or abroad, can register .tl, .com.tl, .net.tl and .org.tl. A .gov.tl name needs a letter from the institution, and .edu.tl needs proof of a registered school or university.
How long does activation take?
Card, UnionPay and mobile money payments activate within minutes. BNCTL transfers activate when the transfer is matched, usually the same working day.
Can I move my existing .tl domain to Caltis Dili?
Yes. Request the transfer code from your current provider, enter it in your dashboard, and we add one year to the expiry date at no extra cost.
What happens if I forget to renew?
You get reminders before expiry. After expiry the domain stays reserved for you for 30 days, so your website and email can be restored.
